Bradford County, Florida.
The Bradford County District
Attorney has offered a Plea Deal
to Ronald Marvin Homer Jr.,
formerly of Starke, Florida in connection of the December 27, 2006 death of
his daughter, Mallory Lee Homer, 10, of Starke and the serious bodily injury
of Frances M. Tyer, 65, of Starke.
According to the District Attorney, the plea deal includes:

Six “6” years in State Prison
-
15 years State Probation
-
Financial Restitution to the Victims
The honorable
Ysleta W. McDonald is expecting to
hear the plea agreement on Tuesday,
February 24 at 9:00 am in Courtroom 1. At this time, the defendant
will either accept the plea, or will reject it, paving the way for jury
selection to begin.

Mallory Lee Homer for the hundreds of letter and phone calls that urged
the Florida Senators, Congressmen and Local Law Enforcement Officials
to act on this critical issue. I would also like to thank the Bradford
County District Attorney's victim support office for the support they
have provided all the families involved in this tragedy. We
still have an uphill battle, but with your continued support we will
work to ensure that no family ever has to suffer such a tragedy.
